For more than 100 years the sheepskin footwear has been part
of the Australian heritage and WARMBAT is a part of that heritage.
In 1969 one of Warmbat’s co-founders designed the original Warmbat
sheepskin boots and that has evolved into todays Warmbat Home Shoes. This
makes Warmbat one of the oldest manufacturers in the market today.
The unique terrain of the land Down Under, and the largest island
on the globe, is diverse in its natural elements; endless beaches,
living rainforests, wondrous mountains and expansive red deserts.

The Australian geography and environmental conditions are uniquely
suited to the rearing of the worlds best quality Merino sheep. Merino wool is
lightweight, strong and supple with an incredibly soft feel. Sheep wool is soft,
resilient and is naturally thermostatic. The fibers ‘breathe’ and they act just like
a natural thermostat for your body.
They are hollow and can absorb up to 30% of their own weight in moisture
without feeling wet. This quality keeps your feet perfectly dry regardless the
ambient temperature. In winter sheepskin is a natural insulator, trapping
airspaces between the fibers capturing your body heat. Moreover sheepskin
contains lanolin which will hydrate your feet.
